Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and creating opportunities for young people. During this Back-to-School season, Wezesha Girls Network Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education and ensuring that more children especially girls remain in school.

As part of this effort, the organization joined partners in supporting Moreki Action Initiative in Kole district under Girls Take Action an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of education and mobilizing resources to support learners in Kole District.

At the heart of the initiative is the belief that an educated girl is an empowered girl. When girls have access to education, they gain the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to make informed decisions about their lives and futures. Education also enables them to become leaders, innovators and contributors to their communities.

Through the back-to-school engagement, Bwambale Dickson, the national mobilizer Wezesha Girls Network Uganda emphasized the importance of keeping girls in school and creating supportive environments where they can thrive academically and socially.

Wezesha Girls Network Uganda partnered with Moreki Action Initiative through the donation of scholastic materials. The items were handed over by Ms Nankunda Hope our Co-Founder, who presented them to the Ms Okello Brenda as part of the collaborative effort to support education in the district. For many children in rural communities, access to school supplies can determine whether they remain in school or fall behind in their studies. Initiatives like this play an important role in ensuring that learners have the resources they need to continue their education.

In addition, Meraki Uganda contributed to the effort by distributing books to young girls and boys in Kole District. Access to learning materials such as books plays a critical role in improving literacy, strengthening academic performance, and nurturing a love for reading among learners.

The collaboration between Wezesha Girls Network Uganda members highlights the importance of partnerships in addressing educational challenges. When organizations come together, they can reach more children and create a greater impact in communities that need support the most.

By contributing scholastic materials and supporting the education, the organizations aim to encourage parents, community leaders, and young people to recognize education as a priority.

Through its ongoing work, Wezesha Girls Network Uganda remains dedicated to empowering young people especially girls through education, mentorship and community engagement. The organization believes that when children are supported to stay in school, they gain the ability to build better futures for themselves and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

As the new school term begins, the message remains clear: Education is a right for every child and investing in it today helps shape a stronger and more empowered generation tomorrow.
