Girls who receive an education are less likely to marry young and more likely to lead healthy and productive lives. They earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families. Girls’ education strengthens economies and reduces inequality.
It contributes to more stable, resilient societies that give all individuals including boys and men the opportunity to fulfil their potential. If all key stakeholders embrace education for all, this world will be a better place.
At Wezesha Girls Network, we support education advocates and activists who are challenging the policies and practices that prevent girls from going to school in their communities. We organize joint activities and events that enable members to come together and share their best practices and challenges. We support their professional development and connect them with each other to work in partnership and collaboration.
