At Health Promotion and Rights Watch Uganda, we work closely with schools through outreach programs that give us the opportunities to meet young people and share with them information on mental health, Career development and sexual reproductive health and rights. In these sessions, our team works closely with students to explore their interests, strengths, and aspirations, providing them with invaluable insights into various career paths and opportunities. By offering personalized guidance and support, we empower young people to make informed decisions about their future, setting them on a path towards meaningful and fulfilling careers.
We understand that true empowerment encompasses a holistic approach that addresses the social, emotional, and ethical dimensions of a person’s life. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on values education, engaging students in discussions about morals, ethics, and the importance of integrity.
Central to these discussions is the concept of dignity the inherent worth and value of every individual. We believe that by instilling a deep respect for oneself and others, we can create a culture of empathy, understanding, and mutual respect. Through thought-provoking conversations and interactive activities, we encourage students to reflect on their own beliefs and behaviours, helping them develop a strong moral compass that will guide them throughout their lives.
